Marietta Sullivan

Marietta Sullivan knew John O'Keefe as a near-familial figure — he was godfather to her nephew — and met Karen Read for the first and only time during a family trip to Aruba over New Year's 2021-2022. Her testimony centered on an incident in the hotel lobby in which Read loudly and profanely told Sullivan to go to herself after Sullivan greeted O'Keefe. Sullivan also described O'Keefe's subsequent uncharacteristic avoidance of her family for the remainder of the trip, and his visibly intoxicated state during the lobby encounter. She was later interviewed by Trooper Proctor in Pembroke on February 8, 2022, despite having no presence at either the Waterfall Bar & Grille or 34 Fairview Road on the nights in question.
